The Fondazione Italiana Fegato (Italian Liver Foundation) launches a fellowship on liver
cancer stem cells for 9 months training at the CSF in Trieste, Italy, targeted to students with
master degree.
One fellowship will be awarded to spend 9 months at CSF to perform a research on cancer
stem cell in liver cancer cultures. The total sum of the fellowship will be of 8.000,00 €
including tax, insurance and travel costs.
The fellow is expected to work under a supervisor who will be responsible for the training and
research project. The fellow will be provided attendance to the research facilities of the CSF.
The fellow is also expected to provide a report on her/his activity at the end of the fellowship.
The deadline for application is March 26, 2010. Applications will be collected by e-mail segreteria@csf.units.it by the CSF. Any pertinent document the applicant thinks useful
(papers, reports, etc.) must be included.
Applicant needs to have a degree in Medicine, Biology or Biotechnology obtained within March, 31 2010 and must be below 27 years old.
The selection will be performed by a scientific committee composed by members of the CSF
and external experts (if necessary), chaired by the Director of CSF. The winner will be
notified by March 30, 2010. The starting date of the fellowship will be April 2010.
Any paper or communication at international or national meetings reporting data collected
during the CSF Fellowship must indicate the source of support.
