CSF FELLOWSHIP IN TRANSLATIONAL HEPATOLOGY
Call for Application – 2007
- The Centro Studi Fegato (Liver Research
Center, CSF) launches a fellowship on translational hepatology for 12
months training at the CSF in Trieste, Italy.
- One fellowship
will be awarded to spend 12 months at CSF to perform mainly clinical
activity for training in translational hepatology. The total sum of the
fellowship will be of 18.000,00 € per year including tax, insurance
and travel costs.
- The
fellowship may be renewed only once. Application for renewal must be
received by June 30 of 1st year.
- The fellow is expected to work under a supervisor who will
be responsible for the training and research project. The fellow will
be provided attendance to the clinical and research facilities of the
CSF although she/he cannot have direct clinical responsibility .The fellow
must report on the results obtained to the scientific board of the CSF
by the June 30 of the 1st year. Should her/his activity be considered
not satisfactory by the board or should the supervisor give a negative, motivated
evaluation, the fellow will finish the fellowship by June 30. The fellow
is also expected to provide a report on her/his activity by December
15 of the 1st year.
- The deadline for application is September 30, 2006. Applications
will be collected by e-mail by the CSF. The form for the application
is available. Any pertinent document the applicant thinks useful (papers,
reports, etc.) must be included.
- Applicant needs
to have a degree in Medicine and must be below 35 years old.
- The selection will be performed by a scientific commission composed
by members of the CSF and external experts (if necessary), chaired by
the Director of CSF. Selection procedures will be over by October 15,
2006. The winner will be notified by October 30, 2006. The starting date
of the fellowship will be January 2007.
- Any paper or communication
at international or national meetings reporting data collected during
the CSF Fellowship must indicate the source of support.
