Caecilia Sukowati

Dr. Caecilia Sukowati graduated at the Institut Teknologi Bandung (Indonesia). In 2011 she graduated PhD at the School of Molecular Biomedicine of the University of Trieste, with a scholarship from the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. From 2008, Dr. Sukowati initiated and developed basic and translational research on liver tumors, in particular on the role of stem / progenitor cells in disease pathogenesis. In this moment, her research group focuses on heterogeneity cellular and on the development of biomarker-based targeted therapies. This goal uses translational approaches, including in silico (computational analysis), in vitro models, animal models (mouse transgenic and immunosuppressive) and clinical samples collected from European and Asian cohorts.
