Pablo Josè Giraudi

Senior Researcher

Degree in Biotechnology (Universidad Nacional de Rosario, Argentina), PhD in Biomolecular Sciences (University of Trieste). His training begins at the CAIC - Argentine-Italian Center of Cryobiology de Rosario, in Argentina, during the degree thesis under the supervision of Joaquín V. Rodríguez, collaborator of the FIF in bi-national research projects. In 2006 he began his doctorate at the FIF in the field of bilirubin neurotoxicity, obtaining the title of PhD in 2009. After a career-break, in 2012 he returned to the FIF as a post-doctoral researcher working on fatty liver and progression to more advanced stages such as steatohepatitis. Over time, he focuses on the development of research projects aimed at identifying biomarkers for the timely diagnosis of steatohepatitis and liver fibrosis. During the development of this project he was awarded 5 postdoctoral fellowships from the Umberto Veronesi Foundation.
