Constitution
1.1 It is established by the initiative and efforts of the Association Fondo per lo Studio delle Malattie del Fegato – ONLUS based in Trieste – a Foundation named
“FONDAZIONE ITALIANA FEGATO – ONLUS”
It may use the name in abbreviated form
“FIF-ONLUS”
The Foundation is currently registered in the Register of Non-Profit Organizations of Social Utility (ONLUS) and therefore uses the acronym ONLUS in its name. The Foundation will be registered in the National Single Register of the Third Sector pursuant to Article 11 of Legislative Decree No. 117 of July 3, 2017, once it is established, and from that moment it will use the term "Third Sector Entity" or the acronym “ETS”in its name and in any distinctive sign or communication addressed to the public, replacing the acronym ONLUS.
1.2 The Foundation adheres to the principles and legal framework of a participatory foundation, within the broader category of foundations governed by the Civil Code and related laws.
1.3 The Foundation is a non-profit organization.
1.4 The headquarters are in Trieste.
