The Italian Liver Foundation Onlus has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Research and Innovation Agency of the Republic of Indonesia for the development of research projects and the creation of a network of expertise on the liver in Indonesia.
With the signing of a "Memorandum of understanding" between the National Research and Innovation Agency (Badan Riset dan Inovasi Nasional RI (BRIN RI) of the Republic of Indonesia and the Italian Liver Foundation (FIF) Onlus, signed on the occasion of the visit of a delegation Indonesian by Laksana Tri Handoko, Chairman of BRIN and Decio Ripandelli, President of FIF, scientific and educational cooperation between the two realities and their respective countries is expanding. The collaboration between the two important institutions involves the development and implementation of joint research projects, the shared organization of scientific events, the exchange of researchers and experts and scientific material and equipment, training and the development of infrastructures. In particular, the training activities will also involve other Italian realities including the Università degli Studi di Trieste and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) which will finance scholarships for young Indonesian doctoral students to carry out their research in the FIF laboratories, aimed at obtaining a doctorate at the University of Trieste.
